Adult Groups

 At First Baptist, we believe everyone should be involved in meaningful worship by attending one of our weekend services, and that every person should be involved in meaningful ministry by serving others through one of our church ministries.  Thirdly, we believe everyone needs to develop meaningful relationships within the Body of Christ by being connected to either a small group or Bible study class.

Adult Bible Study Ministry

Our Sunday morning Adult Bible Study is our foundational strategy for fulfilling the Great Commission by reaching people for Christ and church membership, teaching people the Bible, and ministering to peoples’ needs.  Classes are offered at both 9:00 am and at 10:30 am on Sundays, where people are tightly “Velcroed” to other Christians and to the Scriptures for the long haul.

Small Groups Ministry

The mission of small groups is to develop strong, mature Christ-followers, build authentic, redemptive Christian community, and provide an environment where pre-Christians can come into a relationship with Jesus Christ.  Every Christian needs a spiritual family where they can really know others and be known by others. We need a family where we are cared for, nurtured, challenged, guided and prayed for.  Every Christian also needs a laboratory for life. There are over 50 “one anothers” in the Bible and a small group provides a place and a family where those “one anothers” can be lived out.  At First Baptist, all adults are encouraged to belong to either a Sunday morning Bible study group or to a weeknight Small Group.
